Last weekend, our pioneers girls team participated in the traditional “Wine Ball” tournament in Vlasotince.

In addition to our girls, the teams of Vlasina and Železničar competed in Group A, while the teams of Tehničar, Leskovac 98 and Blok Volej competed in Group B.

Red Star Belgrade finished first in the group without a defeat.

In the first round, Vlasina was defeated with a score of 2-0, in sets 25:7 and 25:9, while in the second round, our girls were better than Železničar with the same score of 2-0, in sets 25:14 and 25:15.

In the semifinals, we faced Block Volley and won 2-0, with sets of 25:19 and 25:12.

Without losing a set until the final, and in the final in the same rhythm, OK Tehničar was defeated 2-0, in sets 25:18 and 25:11.

Our Nađa Bošković was named the tournament’s most valuable player, while captain Una Dobričanin was named the tournament’s best technician.

A great introduction to the new season for the Serbian champions.
