The OK Crvena Zvezda men’s team gathered at Marakana for a meeting with the coaching staff and club management before the start of preparations for the new season.
The first to welcome our boys was General Manager Nikola Rosić, who emphasized that the team was assembled with the highest goals in the 2026/2027 season and that he has no doubt that they are more than capable of achieving those goals with the right approach and attitude on the field.
He emphasized that the team is a blend of youth and experience and that it is of great importance to adopt a fighting spirit from day one that will persist throughout the season and lead us to victories.
The team’s head coach, Brazilian expert Carlos Schwanke, is currently with the Mexican national team, which he leads from the bench, so the team was addressed by new assistant coach Darko Gorunović, who emphasized that he is absolutely at the players’ disposal and that he is looking forward to the upcoming period.
Professor Radivoje Radaković, who will take care of the fitness and physical preparation of the men’s team, reminded us of the importance of the Red Star name, the responsibilities and privileges that come with the Red and White jersey, and emphasized that he is convinced that they will welcome the start of the season in the best possible condition.
He emphasized that he expects the best communication to be achieved on the field and that, if everyone fulfills their tasks, he has no doubt that the team will be healthy, well-prepared and ready!
The new captain, a familiar name at Marakana, Tomislav Dokić, addressed his teammates and insisted on good human relations in the team, that “bad blood” in the team would not be tolerated and that with good team spirit, results cannot fail.
Finally, Nemanja Petrić addressed his teammates, who will have a specific role in the upcoming period, since he also serves as sports director, but he emphasized that he is primarily part of the team and primarily a player on the field, and that through good training and games, the team will build good relationships and that he believes in this team with all his heart.
In addition to head coach Carlos, the following players were absent from the call-up: Serbian national team players Vukašin Ristić, who is with the senior national team, Dušan Petrović, who is with the Serbian national team that will compete at the Mediterranean Games, as well as Macedonian national team player Gjori Gjorgiev; Andrej Lukić will join the team later.

Red Star Belgrade will compete in the Serbian Super League, Serbian Cup, and CEV Cup in the 2026/2027 season.
The boys are already starting their first training sessions today and preparing for new victories.
