The Red Star Sports Association organized today, for the second time, a ceremonial reception called “Star Shield in Europe” in the central box of the “Rajko Mitić” stadium, for athletes and clubs that compete in European competitions under the name Red Star.

The occasion for today’s gathering is another record-breaking performance by our clubs on the international stage. Seventeen clubs, or 18 teams in 14 sports, have participated and are participating in European competitions under the name Red Star, which is the largest number in the history of our red-and-white family so far.

At the very beginning of the event and the singing of the Red Star anthem, those present watched a short film dedicated to last year’s gathering and our clubs that represented us in international competitions last season.

Those present were welcomed by the President of the Board of Directors of the Red Star Sports Association and the General Director of the football club – Zvezdan Terzić.

On behalf of the volleyball club, captain Nikolina Lukić addressed the audience and emphasized how proud we are of the fact that for the second year in a row both teams are participating in elite European competitions.
