An unfortunate away defeat in the second round of the Banka Poštanska Stedionica Super League.
Our boys were defeated by the Takovo team on the road in Gornji Milanovac, the home team was better with a score of 3-2, in sets 25:20, 27:25, 23:25, 17:25 and 15:20.
This made them enter the match more confidently and they controlled the game in the first set.
Our boys slowly came back into the game in the second set, but the home team managed to maintain the lead in the final set.
A complete turnaround in the third and fourth sets, Red Star takes control and it seems as if we were the stronger team in those moments.
Unfortunately, without luck in the fifth set, Takovo came away with a narrow victory 15:12.
The most efficient player in the Red Star team was Milan Krstić with 27 points, Omar Ahmed Dejo added 17, while Alija Bekrić scored 16 points.
Our boys will have a few days to forget this defeat and the first match of the Serbian Cup quarterfinals awaits us with the always tricky Mladić Radnik.
OK Niš will be coming to Banjica in the next round.
