Our boys recorded another victory in the seventh round of the Banka Poštanska Stedionica Superleague, after another dramatic match.

Red Star beat Jedinstvo from Stara Pazova 3-2, with the scores 19:25, 18:25, 25:18, 25:11 and 25:12.

Our boys opened the match unconvincingly, making a lot of mistakes and leaving room for the guests to dictate the game.

The experienced Jedinstvo team took advantage of the opportunity and easily ended the first set in their favor.

A similar situation was seen in the second half, our boys letting the guests control the score and failing to score.

In the third set, the situation on the court completely changed, Red Star stabilized and began to dominate the match.

In the fourth set, the visitors’ game completely collapsed, our boys did not give them a chance to match the score and very convincingly came to a tie in the sets.

In the fifth set, the experienced Jedinstvo team returned, but the Red Star volleyball players had more strength and, without major oscillations in the game, completed the turnaround and recorded another victory.

The most efficient player in the Red Star team was Milan Krstić with 22 points, followed by Omar Ahmed Dejo and Andrej Rudić with 15 points each, while Alija Bekrić, Aleksa Starović and captain Nikola Petrović added 7 points each.

An important victory before the continuation of a series of difficult duels, we have a trip to Zagreb next week, including matches with the current champion and eternal rival.
