Our boys participated in the final tournament of the Serbian national championship in Topola on Friday, along with 7 other best teams in the country, and took fifth place, with two wins and two losses.

We opened the tournament with a match against the host Karađorđe, which Red Star lost 3-1, with the scores 23:25, 25:21, 25:23 and 25:22.

In the second round, after five sets, Vojvodina emerged victorious from a very important match for further placement, with a score of 3-2, in sets of 25:12, 23:25, 21:25, 25:19 and 18:16.

In the third round, our boys defeated Ribnica 3-0, in sets of 25:13, 25:14 and 25:15, but we also needed Vojvodina to win against Karađorđe to qualify for the semifinals.

The duel for fifth place brought us the Eternal Derby, which we won with a score of 3-1, in sets of 25:13, 22:25, 25:19 and 25:16.

With this victory, the Red Star men’s cadet team ends the season in an excellent fifth place in Serbia.
