Another great success for our junior teams, another medal at the final tournaments of the Serbian championship!
The Red Star Women’s Cadet Team, although weakened by the absence of Nađa Antonović, who was with the senior national team, managed to win second place in the country and a silver medal.
Our girls started the competition in Group A with a match against Radnički from Kragujevac, which they won 3-1, with the scores 24:26, 25:21, 25:22 and 25:18. This was followed by a defeat against Proleter from Zrenjanin with the score 3-2, with the scores 22:25, 25:22, 17:25, 25:17 and 15:6. In the last match in the group, they defeated Spartak from Subotica with the score 3-0, with the scores 25:13, 25:19 and 26:24, advancing to the semifinals.
In the semi-finals, a new Eternal Derby awaited us, which our cadets won with a score of 3-1, in sets of 16:25, 26:24, 25:21 and 25:11, and advanced to a new final where the opponent was the great team of Omladinac in Novi Banovci, which defeated Radnicki from Kragujevac with a score of 3-1 in the second semi-final.
Our girls fought hard, but Omladinac was better with a score of 3-0, in sets of 25:14, 25:11 and 25:22, and won the championship title.
In the match for third place, Partizan beat Radnički by a score of 3-2.
The best technician of the championship is our Una Dobričanin, while Isidora Jakovljević is the best middle blocker.
Great success for our young hopes and fifth medal, after silver in the junior and gold in the pioneer selections!
